A VERY SPECIAL Thanksgiving

One very special THANKSGIVING I will never forget.  It was 1993 during our foreign service assignment in South Africa.

Chapter 16 —  “Consul General Myrick, with his ever enthusiastic diplomacy, suggested we hold a Thanksgiving dinner for the families of the townships … we invited eighty men, women and children … introducing turkey and cranberries, and all playing nicely… no politics, no violence, no tension.”
